NEARLY ALL LAWRENCE SCHOOLS are having School Nights for Scouting early this month, at which time all boys may sign on to become Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts or Webelos. Boys and their families who have questions about joining Scouting should contact their schools or the new district executive, Ralf Emerson, (800) 776-1110. Boys who are of Boy Scout age may contact the troops directly for membership information. Although fall may be the best and easiest time for joining Scouting, membership is open year-round for all program levels. Contact the district executive at the Heart Of America Council office for information.
THE ANNUAL Friends of Scouting Family Campaign will be under way soon. Chairman John Scarffe, assisted by other Scouters, will be visiting Boy Scout troops when they have their fall Courts of Honor. They will be visiting Cub packs next spring during the annual February Blue and Gold banquets which celebrate Scouting's anniversary. The Friends of Scouting donations are one of many ways that help finance the Scouting Movement.
