Dodge City (ap) -- Kansas feedlot sales Friday:
Confirmed: 1,400. Trade very slow. Few sales of slaughter steer or heifer steady. Inquiry and demand moderate. Sales confirmed on 500 slaughter steers and 900 slaughter heifers Friday. Sales for the week to date 90,900 head including 39,500 head or about 43 percent previously contracted or formulated cattle. Sales FOB feedlot net weights after 4 percent shrink.
Slaughter steers: few select and choice 2-3 1300-1350 lb $65.50; few select with end choice 2-3 1250 lb $65, load brahma cross and cutting bulls 1300 lbs $64.
Slaughter heifers: select and choice 2-3 1100-1150 lb $65.50 to mostly $66.
