EDITH C. SAWYER
Tonganoxie -- Graveside services for Edith C. Sawyer, 83, Springfield, Mo., will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hubbel Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Sawyer died Thursday, Sept. 2, 1999, in Springfield.
She was born July 24, 1916, in Springfield, Mo., the daughter of Charles and Rushia (Shelton) Nobles. She lived in Tonganoxie from 1974 to 1988.
Mrs. Sawyer was a member of the First Congregational Church, the church's Plymouth Guild and the Extension Homemakers Unit Kountry Klub.
She married Ralph Sawyer on Nov. 7, 1934, in Springfield, Mo. He died June 16, 1988.
Survivors include a son, Ronald M. Sawyer, Ozark, Mo.; a daughter, Linda Sawyer, Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, is in charge of arrangements.
