offers Sheep Fest
Bonner Springs -- The National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame in Bonner Springs will host its annual Sheep Fest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 18.
The event is held in cooperation with the Kansas Sheep Assn., the Kansas Sheep Council and the Kansas Farm Bureau. It will include demonstrations of shearing, spinning, carding and weaving wool.

Choir for children
schedules rehearsal
The Choristers, which is the training choir of the Lawrence Children's Choir, will have its first rehearsal from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13 in the choral room at Free State High School.
The choir is open to all children in third through sixth grades who enjoy singing and have pitch-matching ability. A parents' meeting will be held during the rehearsal to discuss procedures, uniforms and tuition.
