THE JUNE MEETING of the Jayhawk 4-H club was called to order by junior president Casey Davis at the Frost family home. Twenty members were present. Jared Chalender was a guest. Bridget Falley demonstrated how to make apple dumplings and shared the results with the club. Tristan Moody gave a presentation on his model B2 Bomber. Sterling Moody gave a talk on how to prepare for a piano solo for club days. Paul Bireta demonstrated how to make a wooden box. Kyle Shirk gave a talk on how to take care of a bucket calf.

The Jayhawk 4-H club held its club tour prior to its July 12 meeting at the Nunemaker home. Bridget Falley led the club in singing "Jingle Bells." Clinton Shirk gave a presentation on his arts and crafts project.

The Jayhawk 4-H club held its Aug. 9 meeting at the Reid home. Members told what they received on their projects at the county fair. The club voted to sponsor Richard Williams, club leader, for riding in the MS-150. Margaret Bireta gave a demonstration using her own recipe for making trail mix. She was assisted by her sister Anne Marie. At the next meeting, on Sept. 13 at Grant School, the club will elect officers.

THE INDIA FCE will meet at 1:15 p.m. Monday at the home of Frances Mercer. Co-hostess is Wilma Stone. The lesson topic is "Herbal Products: Healthy or a Health Risk," by Genny Hunsinger.
