WILBUR H. KRISTENSON
Ottawa -- Services for Wilbur H. Kristenson, 97, Ottawa, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Dengel & Son Mortuary. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.
Mr. Kristenson died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at Village Manor Nursing Home, Ottawa.
He was born Nov. 26, 1901, in Williamsburg, the son of Thomas Peter and Anna Louise (Peterson) Kristenson. He graduated from Stoney Point School in 1919.
Mr. Kristenson was a farmer and stockman until 1942, and from 1944 to 1969 he and his wife owned and operated Kristenson's Northside Grocery, Ottawa. He was a member of Tauy Baptist Church.
He married Lucille J. Hartpence on Feb. 20, 1924, in Ottawa. She died July 26, 1993.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Nitcher and Betty Jean Barnes, both of Ottawa; a son, Wilbur Jr., Lawrence; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post No. 5901 Auxiliary, and they may be sent in care of Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa 66067.
