RON R. ROSS
Services for Ron R. Ross, 50, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary, Horton. Burial will be in Horton Cemetery.
Mr. Ross died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 29, 1948, in Horton, the son of S. Marion and Lila (Yose) Ross. He graduated from Washburn University with a bachelor of arts degree.
Mr. Ross had been a teacher in the Lawrence Public School system and worked in law enforcement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Horton, and the National Order of Law Enforcement Assn.
Survivors include his mother, Horton; his fiance, Laura Cohen, Urbana, Ill.; a sister, Lila Jayne Miller, Wichita; and a brother, David L. Ross, Horton.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to the Brown County Humane Society, and they may be sent in care of the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary, 909 Central Ave., Horton 66439.
