EDYTHE KATHRYN PILKINGTON
Services for Edythe Kathryn Pilkington, 90, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, Parsons. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Parsons.
Mrs. Pilkington died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.
She was born April 21, 1909, in Labette County, the daughter of Henry and Nola (Cloninger) Eplee. She graduated from Labette County High School in 1929. She moved to Lawrence in 1998.
Mrs. Pilkington and her husband farmed until 1955 near Parsons. She was secretary of First Baptist Church, Parsons, before retiring in 1971.
She married Clarence E. Pilkington on Nov. 1, 1934, in Parsons. He died July 25, 1995.
Survivors include two daughters, Delores Giauque, Silver Spring, Md., and Evelyn Falen, Lawrence; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Edythe K. Pilkington Memorial Fund at First Baptist Church, and they may be sent in care of the Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 112 N. 26th St., Parsons 67357.
