A story in Wednesday's Journal-World about a Baldwin City Council member resigning contained incorrect information. Jennie Washburn, an insurance agent in Lawrence, resigned from the council because of personal and family responsibilities. Washburn was a write-in candidate for the council in 1995.
A caption accompanying a photograph in Wednesday's Journal-World contained incorrect information. The steer pictured at the Douglas County Free Fair livestock auction was being shown by Jared Crawford of the Kanwaka 4-H Club. The Grand Champion market steer belonged to Sarah Buttenhoff and was not pictured.
