FRANK F. MYERS

McPherson -- A Mass of Christian Burial for Frank F. Myers, 71, McPherson, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, McPherson. Burial will be in McPherson.

Mr. Myers died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at a McPherson hospital.

He was born Jan. 27, 1928, in Salina, the son of Frank Milton Myers and Elizabeth Estella (Dillon) Myers.

He had lived in McPherson since 1991, moving there from Endicott, N.Y.

Mr. Myers was an engineer for IBM. He retired in 1984.

He was a member of the McPherson Planning Commission, past commander of the Susquehannah Squadron of the U.S. Power Squadrons, and past president of the New York Junior Chamber of Commerce in Endicott.

He also was a former member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Endicott, N.Y., and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, McPherson, where he served as eucharistic minister and coordinator of the St. Joseph Building Project.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Myers married Mary Ann Bell on Nov. 22, 1951, in McPherson. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, E. Annette Sedore, Salina; six sons, Stephen F., San Antonio, David, Fayetteville, N.C., Mark D., Wichita, Douglas L. and Scott L., both of Lawrence, and Dana R. Myers, Miltonvale; a sister, Evalyn Lovins, Ocala, Fla.; a brother, W. Gene, Auburn, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A rosary will begin at 7:10 p.m.

The family suggests memorials to the church.

Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson, is handling arrangements.
