Kansas University's volleyball team broke a three-match losing streak by beating Iowa State 15-7, 15-3, 15-4, on Saturday at Horejsi Center.
KU improved to 14-7 overall and 5-5 in the Big 12.
Seniors Mary Beth Albrecht and Amanda Reves led the way with 10 kills apiece, followed by juniors Amy Myatt and Danielle Geronymo, who belted eight kills apiece. Reves is now just 16 kills shy of passing former Jayhawk Cyndee Kanabel for second place on the KU all-time kills list. Sophomore setter Molly LaMere paced the 'Hawks with 32 assists and 11 digs.
"It's good to be back at Horejsi," KU coach Ray Bechard said. "We're obviously more comfortable here on our home court. The main area of concern tonight was blocking. We were outblocked tonight, but other than that I'm very pleased."
KU will meet Missouri at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Horejsi Center.
