Boulder, Colo. -- No. 21-ranked Colorado thumped Kansas, 15-4, 15-6, 15-5, in college volleyball on Wednesday night.
Senior middle blocker Amanda Reves led KU in kills (13), digs (11) and blocks (5). Reves needs 26 kills to pass former Jayhawk Cyndee Kanabel for sole possession of second place on the all-time Kansas kills list.
Sophomore setter Molly LaMere paced the team with 26 assists and recorded her first career block solo in the match.
KU (13-7 overall, 4-5 Big 12) has dropped three straight matches. The Jayhawks are 0-5 versus ranked opponents.
"Colorado was really on top of its game tonight," KU coach Ray Bechard said. "We just never found the rhythm we were looking for. We didn't play at a very high level, but Colorado was very steady, they did a good job of keeping us out of the things we wanted to do."
