Sophomore setter Molly LaMere paced the team with 53 assists. In addition, KU's .370 hitting percentage marks the second straight match the Jayhawks have hit .370 or higher.
KU improved to 13-4 overall and 4-2 in the Big 12. BU, which had beaten KU eight straight times, is 15-4, 3-3.
"We are just climbing our way up this conference," KU coach Ray Bechard said. "I don't think either team was that sharp tonight, but we fought hard. Our hitting percentage was outstanding again. We felt like we needed to end the rallies quickly, because Baylor is so quick and so dominating in rallies. Life on the road is becoming difficult in this conference."
Kansas travels to Kansas State for a 7 p.m. match Wednesday.
