Should the FDA regulate tobacco to curb teen smoking?

Bill Colburn,

self-employed,

Lawrence

"No, because they'll smoke anyway, whether or not the FDA regulates it. I'm not saying they shouldn't regulate it toward minors, but they shouldn't make wide-sweeping price increases or raise taxes on it just for teens."

Will Townsend,

grocery store employee,

McLouth

"Yeah, I think they should. It's too accessible to teens because of vending machines, so if the FDA regulated it they could control the vending machines better."

Ana Duran,

KU student,

Lawrence

"I don't honestly think they can. Kids are going to get it no matter what."

Alec Miller,

KU student,

Lawrence

"Yeah. It's just something kids don't need to get into."
