LAWRENCE SCHOOL MENUS FOR NEXT WEEK

In addition to the main dish choice listed below, all Lawrence public schools will offer at least two other choices for lunch.

All elementary schools will have available to students fruit and vegetable bars. Junior highs and high schools offer an even wider variety of choices.

The price of lunch is: $1.40 for elementary; $1.60 for junior highs high schools; and $2.10 for adults. Extra milk costs 30 cents each.

The price of breakfast is 75 cents for elementary; 85 cents for junior highs and high schools; and $1 for adults.

Students at St. John School may choose either the main lunch selection or the cold food bar, which includes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, luncheon meat, cheese, vegetables, fresh and canned fruit and snack cake. Lunch costs $1.35.

Monday

Breakfast: waffles, fruit.

Lunch: ribette sandwich or crispito, peas and carrots, orange wedges.

St. John: crispito, taco salad, refried beans, apples in a blanket.

Tuesday

Breakfast: scrambled eggs, toast, juice.

Lunch: hot dog or hot pocket sandwich (beef or ham), apple crisp, baked beans.

St. John: hot dog, potato wedges, green beans, Ice Juicy.

Wednesday

Breakfast: breakfast pizza, juice.

Lunch: chicken nuggets or fish sandwich, mashed potatoes with gravy, hot roll, apple crisp.

St. John: grilled cheese, hard-boiled egg, raisins, dill pickle spear, applesauce, chocolate chip cookie.

Thursday

Breakfast: grilled cheese sandwich, banana.

Lunch: soft taco or chicken fajita, diced tomatoes, sliced pears, cinnamon puff.

St. John: Mrs. Krische's pizza, seasoned corn, sliced peaches.

Friday

Breakfast: muffin square, tritator.

Lunch: lasagna casserole or quesadilla, pineapple bits, mixed vegetables.

St. John: chicken nuggets, French fries, broccoli and cheese, sliced pears, peanut butter brownie.
