CLOVIS E. JOHNSON
Ottawa -- Services for Clovis E. Johnson, 90, Ottawa, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona.
Mr. Johnson died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa.
He was born Feb. 17, 1909, in Pomona, the son of Johhny W. and Lexie (Evans) Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a farmer and also worked at Buildex in Ottawa as a crusher-operator for 22 years before retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church and had attended the Centropolis Baptist Church.
He married Myrna Bethell on Feb. 25, 1934, in Ottawa. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Marie Sims, Ottawa; a son, Marion Johnson, Wichita; three sisters, Oma Dickie, Pomona, Armentha Boyd, Forsythe, Mo., and Mae Gephart, Ottawa; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A grandchild, Teresa McCan, died earlier.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. Tuesday until service time at the mortuary.
