Services for Mabel Irene Ice, 86, Topeka, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene, Lawrence. Burial will be in Mound View Cemetery, Douglas County.

Miss Ice died Friday, May 28, 1999, at Brewster Place, Topeka.

She was born March 4, 1913, in rural Douglas County, the daughter of Emery and Effie (Gimblet) Ice. She moved to Topeka on Oct. 1, 1998.

She was a volunteer baby sitter at the First Church of the Nazarene and a volunteer for the meals program at Babcock Place. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include a brother, John Ice, New Freedom, Pa.; and a sister, Frances Speer, Kansas City, Kan.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

The family suggests memorials to the First Church of the Nazarene or the charity of the donor's choice, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
