Law enforcement report

Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A 21-year-old Lawrence man reported a blue Fender guitar and an amplifier, valued at $1,200, stolen between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. May 24 from a house in the 1700 block of Kent.
  • A 21-year-old Lawrence man reported a 1997 black Jeep Wrangler, worth $15,000, stolen between 5 p.m. May 23 and 9 a.m. May 24. The vehicle was reportedly taken from the 1400 block of West Seventh.
  • A 19-year old Kansas University student reported at least two checks forged on her account on March 19, totaling $1,184.
  • A self-employed Lawrence man reported several checks forged on a business account between March 1 and April 2. At least seven checks were written at different locations, totaling $7,413.

Condition reports

  • Anne Martin, 23, Manhattan, was in fair condition Saturday night at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan. She was taken there after being injured in a four-car accident Friday morning on the Kansas Turnpike .
