8 a.m.-8 p.m.: Memorial Drive on the Kansas University campus closed to traffic. Parking ban under way at midnight Saturday.

10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Kansas University's Class of 1999 Commencement Lunch, Chancellor's residence, 1532 Lilac Lane. Program begins 11:30 a.m.

1 p.m.-3 p.m.: Retirement reception for Dennis Dillehay, Hillcrest School teacher, school library, 1045 Hilltop Dr.

1:30 p.m.: Dedication of a Habitat for Humanity house to Betsy Anderson and her daughter, Kaitlin, the 30th local family, at Salvation Army Church, 10th and New Hampshire streets. Followed by an open house at 1725 E. 17th.

2 p.m.: Kansas University Commencement participants assemble on Memorial Drive. Procession down Mount Oread into Memorial Stadium begins at 2:30 p.m.

MONDAY

9 a.m.: Douglas County Commission, county courthouse, 11th and Massachusetts.

7 p.m.: Lawrence school board meeting, School District Service Center, 3705 Clinton Pkwy.

7 p.m.: Lawrence High School's Senior Recognition Ceremony, LHS auditorium.

8:30 p.m.: "Candle of Memory -- Light of Hope," third annual Luminary Memorial Service, South Park, sponsored by Hospice Care in Douglas County.
