Corporations to provide

Sprint PCS and RadioShack recently launched a breast cancer awareness campaign in Kansas and Missouri to encourage regular screenings and mammograms. To kick off the campaign in Topeka, the two corporations will provide free screenings at a mobile mammography unit from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at the RadioShack store, 2859 Kansas Ave.

Those interested in setting up an appointment for a mammogram should call (913) 588-3697. To be eligible for the screening women must be 35 or older, have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months and not have breast implants. Spring PCS and RadioShack will cover all costs of the mammogram screenings not covered by health insurance. Women should take their health insurance card with them to the screening.
