Funeral services for Walter E. "Bud" Hunsinger, 77, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Hunsinger died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at his home after an extended illness.

He was born Sept. 17, 1921, to George and Mary Seele Hunsinger in Douglas County.

Mr. Hunsinger was a farmer and stockman. He had lived in the Lawrence area all of his life. He was a member of the Douglas County Farm Bureau, the Farmers Co-op in Lawrence and Ottawa, and the Douglas County Democratic Party.

Survivors include four sisters, Elsie Hunsinger, of the home, Clara Johanning, Baldwin, Dora Tuckel, Lawrence, and Ann Radcliff, Coffeyville.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of Douglas County, sent in care of the mortuary.
