FISHING REPORT

RESERVOIRS

CLINTON -- Water 52 degrees, murky and 5.76 feet high. Channel catfish good using nighcrawlers and cut bait in feeder streams at western end of lake.

HILLSDALE -- Water 57 degrees, fairly clear and 1.5 feet high. White crappie fair to good at 12-14 feet on minnows and jigs along old creek channels and in the stilling basin on small jigs. Walleye slow. Some sub-legal size being caught in stilling basin. Largemouth bass fair. Spinner baits and Rat-L Traps have produced a number of 18-inch plus fish on the rip rap and off rocky points. Channel cat good where creeks dump into main lake on shad sides, prepared baits and nightcrawlers.

PERRY -- Water 56 degrees, murky and high. White crappie fair on tube jigs and minnows at 8-10 feet in the morning and evening. Water conditions are less than ideal. Channel catfish fair on shad sides, green worms and nightcrawlers where creeks are running into lake. White bass fair to good. A few being caught up the river, but outlet should be good this weekend,

STATE FISHING LAKES

DOUGLAS -- Channel catfish fair on nightcrawlers.

LEAVENWORTH -- Largemouth bass good on plastic worms. Channel catfish fair on nightcrawlers. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs.

SHAWNEE -- Black bass fair to good on artificial bait alone shoreline. Channel catfish fair on worms and prepared bait.
