Callahan Creek has been named agency of record for E and E Display Group of Lawrence.

E and E is a national company that makes integrated merchandising systems such as store fixtures, point-of-purchase displays and promotional solutions. It employs 500 people in Lawrence.

Callahan Creek, a Topeka-based advertising and marketing firm, is moving to Lawrence later this year.

Brad Clark, vice president of marketing for Callahan Creek, said his company was hired to help E and E compete in a display industry that's giving more influence to retailers.

"We were hired to reposition the E and E brand for the future and to establish them as a resource to extend their clients' brands throughout the distribution chain," Clark said.

Callahan Creek's other clients include Hill's Pet Nutrition, Capitol Federal Savings, Kansas Department of Commerce and Housing and St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas has named Jones Seel Huyett its advertising agency of record. The Topeka-based agency will assist with all marketing communications and media buying.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas was established in 1941 and is the largest health insurer in Kansas. The company insures nearly 700,000 Kansans in various programs.

Jones Seel Huyett is a full-service advertising, marketing and public relations agency.

Candlewood Hotel Co. Inc. has awarded C. Russell & Co. its national public relations account.

Russell, of Wichita, will develop strategic media relations and other communication programs for the rapidly growing, Wichita-based hotel company.

Bushnell Sports Optics Worldwide has hired NKH&W; Inc. to promote Bausch & Lomb binoculars and rifle scopes.

Kansas City, Mo.-based NKH&W; will create print ads, TV commercials and in-store video. Bushnell, based in Overland Park, markets Bausch & Lomb sports optic products through an exclusive licensing agreement.
