Tickets go on sale today for the lecture at Kansas University by Nobel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa.

Tutu, a visiting professor at Emory University in Atlanta, will speak on "Bridging the Chasm Between Black and White" at 7 p.m. April 18 in Allen Fieldhouse.

Tickets go on sale at 8:30 a.m. at KU box offices: Student Union Activities, 864-3477; Lied Center, 864-ARTS; and Murphy Hall, 864-3982. Tickets also are available through Ticketmaster.

Group rates for nonprofit organizations will be available by calling SUA.

Advance tickets will be $5 for KU students, faculty and staff and $15 for general public. Tickets bought at the door will be $8 and $20, respectively.

Tutu received a Nobel Prize in 1984 for work to dismantle apartheid in South Africa. He was later elected Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town.
