— Kansas was in a tie for 10th after the first round of the Louisiana Classics Golf Invitational on Monday. The Jayhawks totaled 601 strokes after two rounds, 31 strokes behind leader SW Louisiana. Chris Thompson shot rounds of 75 and 73 and is tied for 24th after the first day.

KU baseball halted

Poor weather has forced cancellation of today's scheduled Kansas-Southwest Missouri State baseball game in Springfield, Mo. The Jayhawks and Bears will now play a doubleheader at 2 p.m. on April 7 at Hoglund Ballpark.
