Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A 20-year-old Lawrence man told police Monday that $1,940 in stereo equipment was stolen from his car while it was parked between 2 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Kasold.
  • An 18-year-old Lawrence man who told police Saturday that stereo equipment valued together at $2,400 was stolen between 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday from a residence in the 400 block of Pasadena falsely reported the burglary and theft, a report released Wednesday said. A spokesman said Wednesday morning that police had not arrested the man.
