Tonganoxie -- Services for William Lee Workman, 63, Tonganoxie, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Quisenberry Chapel. Burial will be in Hubble Hill Cemetery in Tonganoxie.

Mr. Workman died Monday, June 21, 1999, at his home.

He was born Aug. 3, 1935, in Fort Scott, the son of Ivan Lee and Elva (Palmer) Workman.

Mr. Workman retired from Hunt-Midwest Mining Company, Kansas City, Mo., in 1993. He was a member of Local No. 663, Heavy Construction Laborers Union, Kansas City, Mo.

He married Wilma Smith on June 14, 1953, in Hepler. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, David, Leavenworth, and Dennis, Tonganoxie; a brother, Charles, Fort Scott; two sisters, Agnes Armstrong, Fort Scott, and Lolita Tracy, Wichita; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Quisenberry Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to Cancer Action, and they may be sent in care of the funeral home, 604 E. Fourth St., Tonganoxie 66086.
