Ottawa -- The Franklin County sheriff's office is investigating the unattended death of a 24-year-old rural Ottawa man found in his home on Monday evening.
Derek Lee Markley was found dead in his home with no apparent signs of foul play, said Craig Dengel, owner of Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa.
"This is a coroner's case," he said. "I don't think they really know what happened yet."
No one was available for comment at the Franklin County sheriff's office on Tuesday.
Markley was a junior at Emporia State University.
