Graveside services are pending for Thomas A. Pohl, 55, Lawrence, and will be held at the Peru (Ill.) Cemetery.
Mr. Pohl died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at his home.
He was born March 30, 1944, in Las Vegas, the son of Arthur E. and Jean (Billard) Pohl.
Mr. Pohl served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1967, during which time he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He worked in the maintenance department at Kansas University. He retired in 1992.
He married Louise Garrett on Sept. 2, 1988, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Angela P. Davis, Big Island, Va.; a stepson, James D. Craig, Big Island, Va.; two stepdaughters, Roberta Endacott and Alena Craig, both of Lawrence; two brothers, James, Mendota, Ill., and Donald, Chicago; two sisters, Nancy Dalton, LaSalle, Ill., and Laurie Weekley, Skamania, Wash.; his mother, Jean Pohl, Mendota, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
