Claflin -- Services for Lesslie C. Culver, 95, Hutchinson, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Claflin. Burial will be in Claflin Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites by Masonic Lodge AF & AM No. 424.

Mr. Culver died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at the Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson.

He was born Dec. 4, 1903, in Grenola, the son of Ira and Frances Emily (Myers) Culver. He moved to Hutchinson in 1995 from Claflin.

Mr. Culver had been a company pumper for Skelly Oil Co. for 40 years. He was a member of United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 424, both of Claflin.

He married Clara Mae Burkey on May 18, 1927, in Emporia. She died Sept. 24, 1997.

Survivors include three sons, Gerald E., Hutchinson, Leonard D., Spearfish, S.D., and Kenneth L., Lawrence; a half brother, Fred Bromel, Hermiston, Ore.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, and from 9:30 a.m. to the service time Monday at the church.

The family suggests memorials to United Methodist Church or Claflin Ambulance Fund, and they may be sent in care of the funeral home, 415 N. Main St., Hoisington 67544.
