KUMC to mark 30 years
of kidney transplants
The Kansas University Medical Center will hold a celebration marking 30 years of kidney transplants from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 16 at the medical center's Dialysis Center, 4720 Rainbow Blvd., Kansas City, Kan.
The event also will serve as the grand opening of the dialysis center. KU Med Center has transplanted 790 kidneys in 726 patients (due to some patients requiring more than one transplant) in the past 30 years.
The Center is searching for the 527 surviving kidney transplant patients to invite them to attend the celebration. If you are a former KUMC kidney transplant patient or know someone who is, call (913) 588-1227.
