— Services for Lorraine Kuehnhoff, 80, Hays, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mrs. Kuehnhoff died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at the Via Christie-St. Francis Hospital, Wichita.

She was born March 13, 1918, in Rocky Ford, Colo., the daughter of Harry Withers and Ruth Gibson.

She was a radio operator for Central Kansas Power and a hostess at the Ramada Inn.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Epsilon Sigma Alpha National Sorority, the local Epsilon Mu Chapter, St. John's Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

She married Edmund Walters on Feb. 22, 1938, in Hays. He died July 13, 1948. She later married Edwin C. Kuehnhoff on Sept. 14, 1964, in Hays. He died July 27, 1978.

Survivors include a son, Bob Walters, Eudora; two daughters, Vickie Rupp, Hays, and Shirley Schrock, Pueblo, Colo.; three brothers, Harry Withers, Wichita, Dean Withers, Denver, and Ralph Withers, Hessperra, Calif.; three sisters, Iva Schuster, Ellis, and Hazel Smith and Mildred Wasinger, Hutchinson; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Hays Memorial Chapel funeral home and from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the church.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Assn., and they may be sent in care of the Hays Memorial Chapel, 20th and Pine, Hays 67601.
