A Kansas University Endowment Assn. executive is being honored for exemplary service Tuesday.
Dale Seuferling, senior vice president for development at KU Endowment, will receive the Distinguished Service Award from District VI of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) at an awards dinner in Kansas City, Mo. The dinner at the Westin Crown Center, beginning at 6:30 p.m., is part of the district's annual conference.
The award for exemplary service honors individuals serving the group and the district for a number of years.
Seuferling joined CASE in 1977 and served as District VI program chair in 1989. He was the district's conference chair in 1995, vice chairman in 1996 and chairman in 1997. He was also a member of the national CASE annual assembly in 1996.
Seuferling graduated from the Kansas University with a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1977. He is a trustee and secretary of the board for KU Endowment, which he joined in 1981. He became senior vice president for development in 1992.
CASE is an international association that offers information resources and training to alumni administrators, fund-raisers, public relations managers, publications editors and government-relations officers. District VI, the Mid-American district, includes institutions from Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.
