Mass of Christian Burial for Henrietta Karlin, 67, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Mrs. Karlin died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at her home.
She was born Oct. 28, 1931, in Collyer, the daughter of Fred and Catherine Fischer Brungardt. She moved to Lawrence in 1955 from Hays.
She had worked in food service for South Junior High School for 16 years before her retirement. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella at the church.
She married Felix M. Karlin on May 20, 1953, in Hays. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Donna Coffman, Lawrence, and Pam Henry, Broken Arrow, Okla.; six sons, Rod Karlin, Gary Karlin and Pat Karlin, all of Lawrence, and Terry Karlin, Tom Karlin, and Jason Karlin, all of Shawnee; four brothers, Larry Brungardt, Denver, Delbert Brungardt, Windsor, Colo., Norbert Brungardt, Tulsa, Okla., and Fred Brungardt, Olathe; five sisters, Mary Lou Hermann, Great Bend, Virginia Orth, Woodland Park, Colo., and Mildred Giebler, Norma Meier and Katherine Munsch, all of Hays; and 16 grandchildren.
A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where the family will receive friends after the rosary.
The family suggests memorials to the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Renovation Fund or to Hospice Care of Douglas County, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
