— Services for Dorothy A. Chartier, 66, Concordia, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, Concordia. Burial will be in Hollis Cemetery in Hollis.

Mrs. Chartier died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at Sunset Nursing Center in Concordia.

She was born Dec. 28, 1932, in Hollis, the daughter of Orville and Frances Dodge Sewart. She graduated from Concordia High School in 1952 and later graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan.

She married Roger Chartier on Dec. 26, 1954, in Concordia. They later divorced.

Before her marriage, she was employed at Southwestern Bell Telephone in Concordia. Later she worked at A.L. Duckwall Company in Abilene. More recently, she was employed by Hen House Supermarkets in Kansas City, Mo.

She retired in 1998 and had moved to Osborne to be near one of her daughters. She had been a member of the Wesleyan Church in Concordia and later the Assembly of God Church in Osborne.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth A. Hackerott, Osborne, and Gayle A. Norris, Ottawa; two sons, Roger "Randy" Chartier, Lawrence, and Frank A. Chartier, Manhattan; her mother, Concordia; a sister, Roberta Champlin, Concordia; a half-sister, Louella "Sally" Gier, Manhattan; five grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 1 p.m. Tuesday.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or Hospice Inc., sent in care of the funeral chapel, 325 W. Sixth, Concordia 66901.
