Headed into the last week of the National Football League's regular seasons, 10 former Kansas University players remain on NFL rosters.
Of the 10, only one -- Tennessee reserve wide receiver Isaac Byrd -- plays an offensive skill position. Byrd has caught a dozen passes, including a 65-yard TD reception last Sunday against Jacksonville.
Also on the list of former Jayhawks are three offensive linemen -- tackles Rod Jones of Cincinnati and Dan Dercher of San Francisco, and guard Chris Banks of Denver. Jones is a starter.
The remaining six are defenders -- backs Tony Blevins of Indianapolis, Kwamie Lassiter of Arizona and Gerald McBurrows of Atlanta, linebacker Don Davis of Tampa Bay and linemen Dana Stubblefield of Washington and Gilbert Brown of Green Bay.
Lassister, Stubblefield and Brown are starters.
