Strait-Flynn

Catherine Faye Strait and Paul Cameron Flynn were married July 3, 1999, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lawrence, with the Rev. Charles Polifka officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ron and Marty Strait, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Joe and Pat Flynn, Leland, Mich.

Joy Worthington was maid of honor. Robert Rust was best man. Bridesmaids were Tricia Duimstra, Tonya Disberger, Leah Bernheimer and Amy Dwyer. Groomsmen were Jason Strait, Robert Disberger, Leslie Reynoso and Mark Flynn.

Matt Flynn and Mike Flynn were ushers. Susan England and Amanda Dwyer handed out programs and bubbles. Alexandra Oliver was candlelighter and altar server. Kathleen Ames-Oliver and Karen Murphy were lectors. Kathleen Ames-Oliver and Steve Neuman were Eucharistic ministers. Karen Flynn was soloist and cantor. Lynn Tidwell was organist.

A reception and dance was at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds, Lawrence.

The bride is a graduate of Topeka West High School and received an associate's degree in science from Highland Community College. She is employed as an LPN at Kansas City Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center, P.A., Overland Park.

The groom is a graduate of Dexter High School, Dexter, Mich., and received a bachelor's degree in biology from Montana State University. He is a technical sales representative with Bio-Microbics Inc., Lenexa.

The couple live in Clearview City.

Bunch-Bartels

Amy Bunch, Overland Park, and Doug Bartels, Lawrence, were married May 22, 1999, at First United Methodist Church, Baldwin, with the Rev. Ira DeSpain officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dan and Cheryl Bunch, Overland Park. The groom is the son of Vernon and Ruth Ellen Bartels, Baldwin.

Helena Theoharis was maid of honor. Dave Soderstrom was best man. Bridesmaids were Adrienne Bunch and Jennifer Keuchel. Groomsmen were Jeff Bartels and Jay Collins.

Jenny Kozora was flower girl. Justin Leport was ring bearer. Jeff Bunch, Justin Bunch and Pete Tucker were ushers.

A reception was held at the Lawrence Holidome.

The bride is a graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School, Overland Park, and earned degrees in psychology and sociology from Baker University, Baldwin. She is a para-educator in the Shawnee Mission School District.

The groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School and will graduate from Kansas University in December 1999 with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering.

The couple live in Lenexa.

Fredrickson-Casey

Debra Ruth Fredrickson, Lawrence, and Larry Gene Casey, Marion, were married Aug. 21, 1999, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Lawrence, with the Rev. J. Watson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ruth and M.B. Fredrickson, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Charlote and Maurice Casey, Marion.

Donna May was matron of honor. Philip Fredrickson was best man. Lauren Johnson was flower girl. John S. Fredrickson was ring bearer. Jandee Casey and Timothy Fredrickson were candle lighters.

A reception was at the Lawrence Country Club.

The bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School and holds a degree in nursing from Washburn University. She is employed at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

The groom attended Marion High School and is self-employed in rural Chase County.

The couple reside in Chase County.

Parker-Trouslot

Saundra LeAnn Parker, Twentynine Palms, Calif., and Brent Caveny Trouslot, San Diego, Calif., were married Aug. 21, 1999, in Spokane, Wash., with the Rev. Homer Todd officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Rumsey Gates, Silt, Colo., and Dana Greer, Oklahoma. The groom is the son of Paul and Barbara Trouslot, Lawrence.

Brenda Sue Schiel was matron of honor. Cliff Stubbs was best man. Cara LeAnn Schiel was flower girl. Alec Jacob Skramstad was ring bearer.

A reception was at the home of Brenda and Eric Schiel, Spokane, Wash.

The bride is a graduate of Tift County High School, Tifton, Ga., and Mesa State College, Grand Junction, Colo. She is a Lt. J.G. registered nurse in the U.S. Navy.

The groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Kansas University. He is a captain and an F/A-18 Hornet instructor pilot in the U. S. Marine Corps, stationed in Lemoore, Calif.

The couple live in Hanford, Calif.
