How they met
Erika tells us: Scott and I met the summer before our freshman year at KU, on June 23, 1995. We both had come to KU for summer orientation, and we were in the same orientation group. I saw that he signed up for "Plants: Friend of Foe" for his honors tutorial, since he was a biology major. Even though I was a social work major, I signed up for the class, too, just so that I knew I would see him again. We started dating a month later, and dated throughout college.
