Baldwin -- The Baldwin Community Arts Council will present its monthly Art Walk Night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today on the south side of High Street in front of Stephens Real Estate, 705 High.

The Art Walk will feature local and regional artists. Included in this month's show will be works in a variety of styles and media, including watercolor, oils, acrylics, photography, pastels, pottery and mixed media.

Artists in the exhibit include Sandy Cardens, Christy Carlisle, Ginny Cobb, Linda Evertt, Jeff Gardner, Melinda Hipple, Krista McClenahan, Star Novak, Ann Pearson and Rodney Troth.

Many of the artists will be on hand to answer questions, and some also will provide demonstrations.

The Lawrence Photo Alliance takes over the wall of the Aardvark Gallery, 111 Sixth St., with "An Alley Shoot." The premise of the show is to observe the diversity of images that are produced by a variety of photographers studying the same subject matter. The show will be on display through Sept. 11 at the gallery.

Quilters Paradise, 713 Eighth St., will present a display of quilts. Discoveries, 719 Eighth St., will be open to show its unique collection of handmade jewelry as well as a broad selection of other arts and crafts.
