JAMES ERIC THRASHER
Services for James Eric Thrasher, 53, Lawrence, will be private.
Mr. Thrasher died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Select Specialty Hospital, Topeka.
He was born Aug. 24, 1945, in Wichita, the son of Don and Alberta Kay Schulte Thrasher. He moved to Lawrence in 1972.
He owned the Catfish Tavern in Lawrence. He was a counselor at DCCCA, Lawrence, and had a drug and alcohol counseling business in Paola and Mound City.
He was a member of the Sports Car Club of America, National Trust for Historic Preservation, New England Genealogical Society, Kansas Alcohol and Drug Addictions Counselors Assn. and the Kansas Coordinators of Alcohol Safety Action Projects Assn.
He married Carol Phillips on June 2, 1967. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Peter, Flagstaff, Ariz., and Thomas, Lawrence; and a sister, Donna Trasher Cotter, Wichita.
A wake will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at DCCCA, 3312 Clinton Pkwy.
The family suggests memorials to the Haskell Foundation at Haskell Indian Nations University.
