SATURDAY

8 a.m.-noon: Friends of the Baldwin City Library hanging plant sale, in front of the library, 800 Seventh St., Baldwin.

Noon-7 p.m.: Earth Day Celebration, South Park. Sponsored by KU Environs, Environmental Studies Student Assn., the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, and Students for Wildcare.

12:30 p.m.-5 p.m.: Percent-For-Art Workshop, city hall, Sixth and Massachusetts.

1 p.m.: Sixth annual Recognition Powwow for Native American students, kindergarten through 12th grade, Coffin Complex, Haskell Indian Nations University Powwow Grounds. 1 p.m.-3 p.m. gourd dancing; 3 p.m.-5 p.m., specials and tiny tot contest; 5 p.m.-6 p.m., supper break; 6 p.m. grand entry. Sponsored by Lawrence Indian Education Parent Committee.

4 p.m.-7 p.m.: Sunset Hill School's Family Fun Night, 901 Schwarz Rd.

SUNDAY

9 a.m.: Earth Day Bike Ride, Broken Arrow Park. Registration at 9 a.m., ride at 10 a.m. Routes 25 and 40 miles long available. Registration fee is $15 with a T-shirt and lunch included. Benefits scholarships for environmental studies students at Kansas University.

2 p.m.-4 p.m.: Baker Wetlands Field Day, Baker Wetlands. Enter at 35th and Haskell. Sponsored by Baker University's Earth We Are and the Jayhawk Audubon Society.

2 p.m.: Service of Remembrance for friends or family members who have died from AIDS-related complications, St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center, 1631 Crescent Rd. Sponsored by Douglas County AIDS Project.

3 p.m.: Spanish/English languages storytime with Lucy Miller and Joyce Steiner, Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt.
