11th at Big 12

Boulder, Colo. -- Kansas University's women's golf team finished in 11th place at the Big 12 Championships on Wednesday at Boulder Country Club.

The Jayhawks combined for 951 strokes, nine behind 10th-place finisher Iowa State and 15 ahead of last-place Kansas State. Oklahoma State won with 906 strokes.

Senior Mandy Munsch placed 16th overall -- her fourth top 25 finish this season -- to lead the Jayhawks. She finished the third round with a 77 score and had a three-round total of 230 strokes.

Oklahoma State's Maria Boden won the individual title with 219 strokes.

The tournament was Jerry Waugh's last as KU coach. He is retiring after seven seasons with the women's golf program. Waugh has been involved in the KU athletics department for more than 50 years.
