Boulder, Colo. Senior Mandy Munsch shot a 74 to help Kansas earn sixth place after the first 18 holes of the Big 12 Conference women's golf championships on Monday.
Munsch was tied for fourth place in the race for medalist honors going into today's final 18 holes. Maria Boden of Oklahoma State shot a 70 for Monday's low score.
Ashley Lowery had KU's next best score at 78. Teammates Susan Tessary and Carrie Padden had 79s and Ashely Bishop carded an 80.
KU's score of 310 was only four strokes behind Texas A&M; in fifth place and six behind Texas in fourth.
Oklahoma State was low Monday with a 296, followed by Texas Tech 301, Missouri 303, Texas 304, Texas A&M; 306, Kansas 310, Iowa State 312, Colorado 313, Nebraska 316 and Baylor, Oklahoma and Kansas State at 318.
The meet is being played at Boulder Country Club.
