Shaffer-Fagan

Susan Shaffer and Mark Fagan were married Sept. 26, 1998, at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Charles Gilmore officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dick and Harriet Shaffer, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Pat and Jeannie Fagan, Lawrence.

Carol Shaffer, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Pat Fagan, father of the groom, was best man.

Kristen Bays, Sarah Houston and Pam McElwee were bridesmaids. John and Paul Fagan, brothers of the groom, and Steve Shaffer, brother of the bride, were groomsmen.

Chris Watney was reader. Megan Neher was guest book attendant. Susan Moeser was program attendant. Jennifer Fagan, sister-in-law of the groom, was gift attendant. Amanda Michaelis was the bride's personal attendant.

Peter Lundquist, David Neher, Chris Pace and John Taylor were ushers. Rändel Wolfe was organist. Cindy Muckey was wedding coordinator.

A reception was held at Alvamar Country Club.

The bride graduated in 1988 from Lawrence High School and earned a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1992 from Kansas University. She is a copy editor at the Journal-World.

The groom graduated in 1986 from West Springfield (Va.) High School and earned a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1991 from KU. He is a reporter for the Journal-World.

The couple live in Lawrence.

Collins-North

Susan R. Collins, Lawrence, and Andrew J. North, Kansas City, Mo., were married April 6, 1999, at Sandals Resort, Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The bride is the daughter of Corbet and Jean Collins, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Mary and Raymond James North Sr., Kansas City, Mo.

Jason Daly was best man. Omega Harris was bridesmaid. Courtney Virgo was groomsman.

The couple celebrated with family and friends when they returned from Jamaica on April 10 at the Figlio Tower on the Kansas City Country Club Plaza.

The bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from Kansas University. She is employed by Sprint PCS, Kansas City, Mo.

The groom is a graduate of Bishop Miege High School and Kansas University. He is employed by Consolidated Lumber Company, Merriam.

The couple live in Merriam.

Riding-Cunningham

Simone L. Riding, Edwardsville, and Doug Cunningham, Independence, Kan., were married April 18, 1998, at First Southern Bapist Church, Lawrence, with the Rev. Ray A. Mays officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Sandra and Perry Parks Sr., Edwardsville. The groom is the son of Dean and Sherri Cunningham, Independence.

Alma Garcia was maid of honor. Teresa Randolph was matron of honor. Brett Misse was best man. Bridesmaids were Julie Cunningham, Robin Riley, Jenny Wegner and Heather Bailey. Groomsmen were Perry Parks Jr., Dennis Wegner, Jason Stewart, Matt Goddard and Scott Rogers. Ushers were Mike Harris and Anthony Fadale. Peris Parks was flowergirl. Trevon Parks was ring bearer. Ladies in waiting were Jewell Thomas, Juanita Newton and Keisha Parks. Renee Rogers was wedding coordinator.

A reception at the Eldridge Hotel followed the ceremony.

The bride is a 1985 graduate of Bonner Springs High School and a 1990 graduate from Kansas University. She is a customer service representative in the circulation department of the Lawrence Journal-World.

The groom is a 1990 graduate of Independence High School and a 1996 graduate from Washburn University with a master's in accounting. He is a senior financial analyst at Payless ShoeSource.

The couple live in Lawrence.

Coon-Moore

Stephanie Sue Coon and Daniel "K.C." Casey Moore, both of Lawrence, were married April 25, 1998, at Plymouth Congregational Church, Lawrence, with the Rev. Christopher Grundy officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Sue Coon, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Molly Mulloy, Lawrence, and Phil and Debby Moore, Dallas, Tex.

Kandy Hopkins, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Kelly Moore, brother of the groom, was best man. Bridesmaids were Monique Lerma and Suzan Oxandale, sister of the groom. Groomsmen were Russell Christian, Bret Doue, Christopher Randolph and David Oxandale, brother of the groom. Ushers were Scott Coon, brother of the bride, and Trace Gaskell. Geoff Clary, cousin of the bride, and Trace Gaskell were candlelighters. Scripture passage was read by Kandy Hopkins. Andrea Oxford, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book. Helen Hawley was organist.

A reception and dance at the Eagles Lodge, Lawrence, followed the ceremony. Sharon Burns and Ann Hopkins, aunts of the bride, and Marty Moulthrop and Maggie Jones, aunts of the groom, were cake servers.

The bride is a 1990 graduate of Eudora High School. She received a bachelor's degree in accounting and business adminstration in 1994 from Kansas University. She is employed as a supervisor in the investment banking division at UMB Bank of Kansas City, Mo.

The groom is a 1988 graduate of Lawrence High School. He is employed as the assistant director of computing services for the School of Engineering at Kansas University.

The couple live in Lawrence.
