Should high school students recite the Pledge of Allegiance every day?

Allison Imre,

bartender,

Lawrence

"No. I think six years of it in grade school is enough. Maybe they should say it once a week, but I don't think having kids do it every day will make them believe more in what they're saying."

Christine Koeberl,

retail assistant manager,

Lawrence

"I definitely think it should be offered for students but, as far as requirements, I hate to see everybody have to do it."

Brad Schepers,

brewery manager,

Lawrence

"Yes. I did it when I was going through high school and it helps them remember where they came from and what their allegiance is to the country."

Marcella Green,

education counselor,

Lawrence

"Yes. I think so because I think that we've lost a lot of patriotism in our country today and we should get back to some of the basics, including honoring our country by saying the pledge."
