Eight lamas from the largest Tibetan monastery in the world are touring North America and will be in Lawrence today through Sunday to present Tibetan cultural and spiritual programs.

The activities will begin at 5 p.m. today with a chanting for world peace at South Park. A reception will follow in Plymouth Congregational Church, 925 Vt.

Other activities include the talk ``Freedom and Liberation'' at 7 p.m. Thursday in Terra Nova Hall, 920er of Commerce, Automatic Fire Alarm Assn., Electrical Apparatus Service Assn., Kansas Automatic Fire Alarm Assn., Kansas City Burglar & Fire Alarm Assn., Missouri Burglar & Fire Alarm Assn., National Burglar and Fire Alarm Assn., National Federation of Independent Businesses and National Fire Protection Assn.
