Membership: Aliene Bieber, 843-1075, or K-State Research and Extension-Douglas County, 843-7058.

Dues: Each person pays a small fee to support the organization and provide educational material.

Purpose: Family and Community Education units can fulfill social, cultural and intellectual needs.

Making new friends and participating in learning programs and community service activities lead to enjoyment and increased self-esteem.

Douglas County Family and Community Education (FCE) units, formerly called Extension Homemaker Units, are a group of volunteer educators.

Following are the current FCE units, their presidents and their meeting times.
