— Services for Emil Haberer, 92, Russell, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Pohlman's Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Russell City Cemetery.

Mr. Haberer died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1998, at Russell Regional Hospital.

He was born Feb. 23, 1906, in Russell County, the son of Lydia Reinhardt and Rudolf John Haberer.

He was a lifetime farmer and stockman on his family farm north of Russell. He retired in 1972 and moved to Russell. He had served on the rural school board, township board, county fair board and the board of directors of AGCO Inc.

He married Mary Lorraine Salber on Nov. 30, 1934, in Russell. She died on July 7, 1991.

Survivors include two sons, Don and Eric Haberer, both of Russell; a daughter, Mary Thompson, Genoa, Colo; a sister, Helene Galyardt, Lawrence; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to service time Friday at Pohlman's Mortuary, Russell.

The family suggests memorials to the Paradise United Methodist Church, Russell Regional Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice and may be sent in care of Pohlman's Mortuary, 610 N. Maple St., Russell 67665.
