The Spencer Consort, the new chamber music ensemble in residence at the Helen Foresman Spencer Museum of Art, will perform a children's concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the museum's Central Court.

``Flutes Galore, the Cello and More!'' is a light-hearted romp through dances of many times and places, ending with a musical visit from a favorite cartoon character.

The two permanent members of the Spencer Consort are flutist and recorder player Joy Laird and Baroque cellist and viola da gambist Paul Laird. Joy Laird teaches flute and recorder privately and is a member of the Oread Baroque Ensemble. Paul Laird, associate professor of musicology at Kansas University, is director of KU's Instrumental Collegium Musicum and an experienced chamber musician.
