Memorial services for Earl Cutler will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Lawrence Presbyterian Manor, 1429 Kasold Drive.

Mr. Cutler died Monday, Oct. 19, 1998, at Presbyterian Manor. He was born May 2, 1913, in Jolliet, Ill., the son of Ralph and Lean Severest Cutler.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth, of the home; a daughter, Darlene Wiley, Austin, Tex.; a son, Douglas, Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Evelyn Vaden, Franklin, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

The family requests memorials to the Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.

Dan Dieu Truong

Services for Dan Dieu Truong of Lawrence will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Truong died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, at his home. He was 70.

Mr. Truong was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Kuang Tung, China, to Hai Sang & Hao Ai Ly Truong. He spent most of his life in Saigon, Vietnam, where he worked as a cab driver.

He and Muoi Chieu were married March 11, 1969, in Saigon.

The couple moved to Lawrence in 1991.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mindy Truong, Man Gia Truong and My Gia Truong, all of Lawrence; eight sons, Tihn Quan, Tinh Kiem, Alan, Tinh Chi, Tihn Man, Derek, Andy and Brandon, all of Lawrence; three sisters, Dung Khoan Truong and Nhan Khoan Truong, both of Vietnam, and Lien Khoan Truong of Philadelphia; and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary, where the family will greet friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Mildred L. Young

Tonganoxie -- Services for Mildred L. Young, 90, Tonganoxie, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Congregational Church, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Mrs. Young died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, at Shawnee Gardens Nursing Center, Shawnee. She was born Jan. 20, 1908, in Tonganoxie, the daughter of Archie and Bessie Fairchild Knox. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Rinda Chapter No. 82, Order of the Eastern Star, Tonganoxie Historical Society and former secretary of the Maple Grove Cemetery Assn., all of Tonganoxie. She also belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution in Lawrence. Her husband, Arthur L. Young, died on Jan. 10, 1983.

Survivors include two nieces, Carol Smith, Overland Park, and Jan Adams, Amarillo, Tex.

The family suggests memorials to the church or to the Tonganoxie Historical Society in care of the Quisenberry Funeral Home, P.O. Box 993, Tonganoxie, 66086.


Services for Lenore B. French of Eudora are pending with Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, Lawrence. French died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998, at Eudora Nursing Center. She was 100.

Lorretta Crawford

Kansas City, Mo. -- Services for Lorretta Crawford, 67, of Kansas City, Mo., will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Union Cemetery near Centropolis. She died on Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998, at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

Additional information will be provided by Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, Baldwin.

Louis P. Zimmerli

Linwood -- Services for Louis P. Zimmerli will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home Chapel in Bonner Springs. Burial will be at Mt. Sidney Cemetery in Linwood.

Mr. Zimmerli died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was 94.

Mr. Zimmerli was born Nov. 4, 1904, in Linwood. He was a section hand for the Union Pacific Railroad and retired in 1966. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees, AFL-CIO and CLC.

He was a member of Linwood United Methodist Church.

His wife, Dorothy A. Zimmerli, died in 1996.

Survivors include two sons, Ray and Karl, both of Linwood; two sisters, Clara Holmes of Linwood and Ide Mae Thomsen of Los Angeles; a brother, John David of DeSoto; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Linwood United Methodist Church.
